Americana & Cabaret of Souls

So, you may be asking yourselves, "What does Richard do with himself when he's not traveling around the world entertaining us?" Well, we asked him about his plans and he said he was, "Looking forward to next month and the Americana awards, when we'll be spending almost a week in the Nashville area doing radio, shows, listening parties, etc. Also setting our sights on Cabaret of Souls in October in Santa Monica. November we relax - a little."

First, let us fill you in on the Americana Music Association events.

Richard will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting at the Honors and Awards show on Sept. 12 in Nashville TN at the Historic Ryman Auditorium. Tickets for the show are available to Americana Conference registrants and to the public via Ryman Auditorium box office:

Cast member Judith Owen had this to say about the production, "Richard Thompson's not one to sit on his laurels. He raises the bar with every project and Cabaret of Souls is proof of that. It's his most musically ambitious and utterly thrilling work to date and I'm very proud to be a part of it."
