Americana Wrap-up!

Richard recently preformed a number of the new tunes that will be included in the 2013 release during his visit to the Americana Music Association Conference last month. He was a busy bee indeed during the conference. He performed a showcase at the historic Station Inn, participated in a songwriter's show for SiriusXM radio, hosted a Songwriter Session at Country Music Hall of Fame, picked up a Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting at the Honors & Awards show and attended a lunchtime listening party for radio programmers at Buddy's studio! What a worker bee!!

Notes on Shows Past, Present and Future:

RT recently played to a fantastic crowd in Ft. Bragg, CA to help raise funds and awareness for the Otsuchi Recovery Efforts as well as local Mendocino radio station KZYX. Thanks to the efforts of RT's good friend and grass roots promoter, Carole Raye, the show raised some much needed funds for both Otsuchi as well as the station - and everyone had a great time! The following night's show in Arcata, CA at Humboldt State University was also a smashing success. Students and locals were treated to a classic RT performance at the Van Duzer Theatre, where Richard's son Jack Thompson (aka DJ "Spicy Tuna") sat in on bass. You can check out Spicy Tuna's radio show online every Tuesday at 9-10PM PST. Go to on your computer or iPhone and click "Listen Now".

If you happen to be in the far northwest corner of the North American Continent, you might try to catch up with Richard when he performs in Anchorage, AK or at venues in Salt Spring Island and Victoria, BC Canada. The dates are Oct. 13, 15 & 16. A few tickets are still available but going fast.

The December dates in Saratoga at Carriage House are all SOLD OUT.

As always, check online for the latest touring and ticketing information:
