Sessions with Werner Herzog
12/10/2004 (updated 12/25/2004)

"I was working on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December on the soundtrack for the upcoming Werner Herzog documentary, “Grizzly Man”, about Timothy Treadwell, who spent years up in Alaska filming and living among the Grizzly Bears, and who was tragically killed by them in his thirteenth season. The film will be initially shown at the Sundance Film Festival next year.

Other musicians involved were:
Damon Smith - Bass
Danielle DeGruttola - Cello
Jim O’Rourke – Guitar, Keyboards
Henry Kaiser – Guitar, Production
John Hanes – Percussion

Recording was at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley CA.

It was a great thrill to work with Werner, whose work I have admired for many years, and who has produced, for me, some of the most striking and poetic images in cinema history."
