Richard Thompson appears on Judith Owen's new album entitled 'Happy This Way', due out May 22nd on Courgette Records.
Loudon Wainwright III’s Strange Weirdos: Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture Knocked Up is also due out May 22nd, on Concord Records, and features Richard Thompson on a track called “Grey in L.A.”
Richard also appears on daughter Kamila Thompson's (yet untitled) debut album, due out at the end of the year.
David Suff (Fledg'ling Records) has compiled a CD from live recordings made in 1975 of Richard & Linda Thompson and their band - Dave Mattacks, Dave Pegg, and John Kirkpatrick. The selections are taken from three officially recorded shows of that tour - Oxford, Swindon and Norwich, and the album will recreate the set list of the tour using the "best" available version of each song. Richard has blessed the project but has not been involved in any decisions. The album is due for release this summer on Universal Records. A couple tracks from these recordings have already appeared on the 1976 double album (guitar, vocal).
