BMI Presents “Music for Film” Panel at SXSW

27 years in the making, 'DREAMS WITH SHARP TEETH', A FILM ABOUT HARLAN ELLISON, premiered & BMI presented “Music for Film” Panel at SXSW on Saturday, March 8th.

Harlan Ellison may be the greatest 'unknown' writer of our times. Like Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick and Kurt Vonnegut, Ellison's work was originally shunted into the literary ghetto of 'sci fi', but Harlan Ellison and his work now defines his own genre, which is as unique as its creator.

'DREAMS WITH SHARP TEETH' is a literary documentary that brings Ellison, his magnetic personality and amazing work to life, with appearances from Robin Williams and author Neil Gaiman.

Directed by Erik Nelson, the producer of Werner Herzog's Grizzly Man and upcoming Encounters at The End Of The World, 'DREAMS WITH SHARP TEETH' features an original score composed and performed by the legendary guitarist Richard Thompson.

Nelson began filming the always controversial and often cantankerous Ellison in 1981, and 27 years later, his portrait is finally ready.
